Naveen hints at ministry reshuffle

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday hinted at a ministry reshuffle very soon.

Reacting to a media query, Patnaik said he is not ruling out of ministry reshuffle in the state. He also revealed that many ministers have approached him with the wish that they would work for the party at the organizational level.

The hint shows that some of the incumbent Ministers will be assigned with the task of strengthening the organization at the grass root level to counter BJP, which is strengthening its base in the state.

Some new faces are likely to be inducted in the ministry.

Sources said the reshuffle is likely to take place next week when Governor SC Jamir returns from vacation.

The BJD president also said they have planned strategies to counter any challenge posed by the BJP.

Notably, BJP national president Amit Shah will visit Gajam district, the home turf of Naveen Patnaik, in June this year.
