Dhamra: With an aim to help the students in getting higher education and to fulfil their academic goals, Adani Foundation presented Merit scholarship to 67 students of Dhamra Port peripheral high schools for the year 2017-18.
Subrat Tripathy, CEO of Dhamra Port, Jagat Parija, Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Subash Ray Unit Head CSR, Dhamra Port graced the occasion with their valuable words and boosted the zeal and moral of the students.
At a special function organised within Dhamra Port premises, 67 students from 9 schools of Port peripheral area were awarded cheques by the Port Authority.
The headmaster and guardians were overwhelmed by this venture of Adani foundation and they conveyed their gratitude to the Adani foundation. Among others, many intellectuals of the local, parents, Port officials and teachers graced the occasion.
This is an instance due to this programme several meritorious students successfully engaged in various sections like medical, engineering, educational sector.
It may be noted here that ‘DPCL Merit Scholarship’ was constituted by the company in 2009 with an idea to encourage higher studies among meritorious students.
The scholarship contains monthly stipend of Rs 1000 (One Thousand) for a duration of two years to the awardees. Several good students, who couldn’t pursue college education due to the poor financial condition of their families will be benefited by this scholarship programme.
