Cargo handling hit in Paradip Port as stevedore employees go on strike

Bhubaneswar: Cargo handling has been severely hit in the Paradip Port since this morning as employees of different stevedore companies have started an agitation to press their various demands.

According to reports, loaders, operators and helpers of various stevedore companies have joined the agitation.

They are now sitting on a dharna at the Gate-3 of the port.

The main demand of the stevedore employees is that they would work for eight hours instead of 12 hours.
