Oil Minister inaugurates state-of-the-art facilities at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday inaugurated Departments of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar.

Both the units have state-of-the-art modern facilities for patients at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar.

The state-of-the-art facilities will provide affordable treatment of highest quality to the poorest of the poor, said Pradhan.

He said healthcare facilities in Odisha can be best described as fragile.

“Lack of specialist doctors and poor health infrastructure has rendered healthcare services in the state wanting for more. The super-speciality hospital will play a lead role in enhancing healthcare facilities in Odisha,” said the Minister.

A 960 bedded modern hospital, in-house radiological investigations, advanced diagnostic techniques, quality healthcare at affordable prices at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar will immensely benefit poor patients of the state, said Pradhan.
