Utkal University VC for reconsideration on RD University second campus

Bhubaneswar: Utkal University Vice-Chancellor Soumendra Mohan Patnaik on Monday said the Odisha government should reconsider its proposal to set up the 2nd campus of Rama Devi Women’s University inside Utkal University campus.

He said the land in Utkal University is limited as various development works would be taken place in future.

Various infrastructure requirements are needed for the development of the varsity, he added.

Notably, the Utkal University students are protesting the proposed RD University second campus inside Vani Vihar. Recently, they had blocked the national highway protesting the move of the state government to set up RD University second campus.
