Forest guard found dead in Dhenkanal

Bhubaneswar: A forest guard was found dead under strange conditions in the Gadashila forest beat house in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Sunday.

The deceased forest guard was identified as Tapan Das. He was found hanging from the roof of the house.

Though exact reason behind his death has not yet been established, it is suspected that wood mafias might have killed him and subsequently kept him in a hanging position to give a colour of suicide, said sources.

Police have reached the spot and started an investigation.
