Fire breaks out in Queen’s Collection in Cuttack

Cuttack: A major fire broke out at a shopping mall named Queen’s Collection in Choudhary Bazar of Cuttack on Monday.

Two fire tenders have been pressed to douse the flame.

It is suspected that the fire has engulfed the shop following electric short-circuit.

This is the second fire incident in a week in the Cuttack city. On February 5, the three-storey garment store – City Style Showroom – was completely gutted in a blazing fire which also reduced three nearby shops to ashes in Badambadi area of Cuttack.

The fire was so severe that 21 fire tenders and 160 personnel had to be pressed into action to douse the flames in an operation that lasted for more than five hours.
