Two college students among 3 arrested for robbing woman in Bhubaneswar


Bhubaneswar: The Commissionrate police on Tuesday arrested three persons, including two college students, for snatching and decamping with the vanity bag of a young woman near Fire Station area on February 10.

Khandagiri police arrested Ajaya Dhudu (19) of Delang in Puri and Debasish Mohapatra (19) of Harirajpur under Jatni police limits in Khurda and Bikram Behera of Sunakhandi under Salepur police in Cuttack district.

All the three accused persons were staying in different parts of Bhubaneswar, said police.

Police seized one laptop, laptop charger, one Apple I-phone8, one Samsung J7 Prime mobile phone, two Airtel Hotspot, one laptop mouse, eight pen drives, one digital pen and a Pulsar motorcycle from their possession.

Police also seized the stolen items of the woman.

According to police, on February 10, one woman lodged a complaint at the Khandagiri police station alleging that when she was coming with her colleague on a motorcycle near Fire Station Square, three persons came on a Pulsar motorbike and snatched her vanity bag containing her valuables.
