Day temperature to rise in Odisha from today


Bhubaneswar: The day temperature will increase and a sunny weather will prevail in Odisha from Thursday as there will be cloudless sky and less moisture content in the atmosphere, predicted weathermen.

Some parts of the state had witnessed slight rainfall and thus a low temperature for a few days now.

On Wednesday, the minimum temperature in 18 cities was recorded above 30 degree Celsius. Among them, Malkangiri recorded highest of 34.2 degree Celsius followed by Bhubaneswar 33.4, Balasore 33, Talcher 32.8, Gopalpur 32.6, Cuttack 32.5, Anugul 32.1 and Titilagarh 32 degree Celsius.

There would be a clear sky on Thursday. The mercury will increase as the atmosphere will be clear of moisture due to north-westerly winds, said Regional Met Office Director Dr Sharat Chandra Sahoo.
