Murder accused prisoner flees from Kendrapara Sub-Jail

Bhubaneswar: An undertrial prisoner (UTP) fled from Kendrapara Sub-Jail on Saturday evening.

The undertrial prisoner identified as Rangadhar Biswal, a murder accused, managed to flee from the jail by scaling up the wall with the help of a towel. However, none of the jail guards including the ones at the watchtowers noticed him.

Meanwhile, Prisons (ADG) Bijayananda Jha and other senior officials rushed to the Kendrapara Sub-Jail for a probe into the matter. Sniffer dog was also engaged to trace the murder accused.
