Senior OAS officer in Vigilance net

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Thursday conducted simultaneous searches on the residence and office of senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer Ashutosh Samal at different locations in the state.

Samal is currently posted in Revenue and Disaster Management Department.

He was accused amassing properties and assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Sources said anti-corruption sleuths conducted raids in office and residence and other places linked with Samal in Bhandaripokhari and Bhubaneswar.

The search operation is still going on, said an official.
