Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday said it would recruit post-graduate teachers for all higher secondary schools from this academic session to improve the quality of education.
School and mass education secretary P K Mohapatra said post graduation teachers will be appointed for the higher secondary schools.
He said the department has already started the process of chalking out the eligibility and service conditions for the post-graduate teacher recruitment.
Meanwhile, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, on Saturday declared the results of Plus II Science examination.
The overall pass percentage stood at 77.98 percent, informed School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra.
While a total of 95,096 students had appeared for the CHSE Plus II Science examination, around 73,211 has passed.
While 42,886 boys passed Plus II Science, 30,325 girls cleared it this year. While the pass percentage for boys is 75.66, it is 78.88 for girls, said the Minister.
