Energy Minister blames Forest dept for frequent power cut in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Energy Minister Sushant Singh on Wednesday passed the buck on the Forest Department for the undeclared power cut at several places in Odisha including capital city Bhubaneswar.

Singh blamed the Forest department for the delay in repairing and maintenance of wiring works that lead to the power cut.

He said many times trees have to be felled down and branches have to be cut at many places for the wiring work and repairing.

Forest department delayed approval for the tree cutting which led to delay in repairing. That is the reason of frequent power cut, he added.
