Close to my dream of second Konark: Mohapatra

Bhubaneswar: Sculptor Raghunath Mohapatra on Sunday said he is hopeful of fulfilling his dream of building second Konark after being nominated to Rajya Sabha.

“I am now close to my dream of second Konark and hopeful to get equal cooperation from Odisha government and Centre,” said sculptor Raghunath Mohapatra.

President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday nominated Mohapatra to Rajya Sabha.

Union Petroleum Minister also said that people of the country will support Raghunath Mohapatra’s vision for a second Konark.

“For the first time, an Odia has been nominated to Rajya Sabha by the President of India. I am hopeful that people of the country will support Raghunath Mohapatra’s vision for a second Konark,” said Pradhan.
