Satyajit Mohanty is new Police Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: Additional DGP Satyajit Mohanty has been appointed as new Police Commissioner for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Mohanty will replace YB Khurania, who has been appointed as Additional DGP (Provisioning).

Notably, Mohanty becomes the fifth police commissioner of Commissionerate Police.

Sanjeeb Panda is the new Transport Commissioner.

IG (Law and Order) Amitabh Thakur has been given the additional responsibility of IG (SAP).

In addition to this, five officers including IPS and OPS officers have also been transferred.

SP (CB-CID) Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao has been transferred as Bhadrak SP.

Bhadrak SP Battula Gangadhar has been placed as Kalahandi SP and Madkar Sandeep Sampat as SP (CB-CID). ASP Bonai Debi Prasad Das and Additional DCP in Commissionerate Police Sashi Bhusan Satpathy have been made SP in-charge of Sonepur and Nayagarh districts.
