Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday invited a business delegation of Fujian Province of China to the state’s flagship investors meet-Make in Odisha-scheduled to be held in November.
The six-member Fujian delegation led by HU Changsheng (Head of the organisation of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee) on Monday met the Chief Minister at Secretariat with an objective to seek business ties with Odisha. Welcoming Changsheng and his delegation, the Chief Minister said that resource-rich Odisha is one of the top three states of the country in attracting live manufacturing investments.
Speaking on the conducive business environment, infrastructure and skilled workforce of the state, the CM said Odisha intends to facilitate growth in 6 focus sectors, namely Food Processing, Electronics Manufacturing, Petro-Chemicals, Textiles, Metal Downstream and Tourism.
He said that a state delegation led by Odisha Minister of Industries will visit Fuzhou on 31st August this year to showcase the investment opportunities to Chinese industries.
The Chief Minister also sought the support of Fujian Provincial Government for a successful visit of Odisha delegation.
Minister of Industries Anant Das, Development Commissioner and Principal Secretary Industries were present during the discussion.
