SAP India signs MoU with NSIC for technology adoption across MSMEs

Bhubaneshwar: SAP India on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC) to expand technology adoption across MSMEs in the country.

The agreement was signed during the inauguration ceremony of NSIC’s Bhubaneshwar centre in the presence of Union MSME Minister Giriraj Singh here.

As a part of the MoU, SAP India will leverage the well-established network of NSIC Technical Services Centres and other institutions working under its administrative control to create a future-ready workforce.

The joint program will provide access to knowledge of innovative enterprise IT solutions thereby ensuring availability of talent pool on enterprise software for MSMEs in the country, said a statement.

SAP will facilitate NSIC to provide training and enablement courses on the ERP platform of SAP ‘Business One’ software.

The training programs will be delivered through a combination of virtual sessions and classroom courses at centres identified and arranged by NSIC, the statement added.

Post the completion of the course, SAP and NSIC will offer a joint certification to the candidates, to help increase their employability, while aiding MSMEs with a skilled workforce

“Our association with NSIC is an extension of SAP’s Bharat ERP programme to further fuel technology entrepreneurship in the country,” he added.

“MSME sector is the catalyst for the socio-economic transformation of the country,” said Ravindra Nath, NSIC Chairman and Managing Director.

“Technology has lifted borders while opening up a world of learning opportunities for the workforce. The NSIC along with SAP India, will help provide necessary skillsets to youth across the country, enabling MSMEs to recruit the future-ready talent, gain scale and stay ahead in the digital era,” said Nath.
