BJD holds protest against fuel price hike in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday launched a two-hour protest against the hike in petrol and diesel prices across Odisha.

The activists of Biju Mahila Janata Dal, Biju Yuva Janata Dal and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal staged a demonstration in front of petrol pumps at various places in Odisha in a phased manner from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon.

The protest will continue till September 9.

The programme started at the Unit-III petrol pump, in front of Ram Mandir.

The protests were organised at major petrol pumps for creating awareness of fuel consumers regarding the price hike of petrol and diesel.
