Chopper flying over Chilika: Baijayant Panda summoned by Puri police

Puri: The Puri police on Tuesday summoned to former Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda for allegedly flying his chopper over eco-sensitive zone Chilika Lake.

The police have also summoned Panda’s two co-passengers, who were in the chopper.

The notices have been served to them to appear before the police by 12 PM on Wednesday.

Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi said they have served notices to the politician and his two co-passengers to appear before the police to record their statements.

Notably, the Puri police have sealed the hanger of IMFA at the Bhubaneswar airport and sought the black box to ascertain the flying over Chilika Lake.
