Health sector receives Rs 2,750 crore investment in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Health Minister Pratap Jena on Tuesday said the health sector received an investment of about Rs 2,750 crore during the third day of Make in Odisha Conclave 2018.

102 digital dispensaries would be set up across the state with an investment of Rs 90 crore. Rs 700 crore will be invested for diagnostic and dialysis in all medical colleges and hospitals and other medical institutions including capital hospital at Bhubaneswar and Sishu Bhawan at Cuttack.

Besides, Rs 1,300 crore would be invested for affordable healthcare project at 25 locations under PPP mode, the minister said.

Care Hospital has proposed to set up a cardiac care at Jharsuguda with an investment of Rs 70 crore under PPP mode.

Cancer care project will be taken up an investment of Rs 600 crore, he added.
