Centre sanctions Rs 1023.59 crore as cyclone assistance

New Delhi: The union government on Mondaysanctioned Rs 1023.59 crore assistance from National Disaster Response Fund(NDRF) to Odisha for restoration work in cyclone Titli affected areas.

The high-level committee chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh approved the additional assistance from NDRF of Rs1023.59 crore to Odisha and Rs. 268.63 crore to Tripura.

The meeting was held to consider the additional central sssistance to these two states, which were affected by cyclone Titli,floods and landslidesduring the recent months.
