Kendrapara: The vigilance sleuths on Friday carried simultaneous raids in four properties of a high school teacher Ranjan Kumar Nayak of Jamapada High School in Odisha’s Kendrapara on charges of amassing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous raids were conducted by the anti-corruption sleuths at four places including Nayak’s house at Kalapada, in-law’s house at Bahakandia, his office on the high school premises and his brother-in-law’s house at Jamapada.
The anti-graft officials have seized property including 400 grams of gold ornaments, a car, three motorcycles and five trucks worth over Rs 1.5 crore, said sources.
Besides, bank passbooks belonging to Nayak and his family members and, land purchases and sale deeds have also been seized.
