Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a slew of projects worth over Rs 1,545 crore in Odisha during his upcoming visit to Balangir on January 15.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate Multi-modal Logistics Park at Jharsuguda built at a cost of Rs 100 crore, which will facilitate EXIM and Domestic cargo including Private Freight Traffic (PFT).
Modi will also inaugurate the Rs 115-crore Balangir-Bichhupali new railway line, a part of the new 289-km Balangir-Khurda road line, which connects to the Howrah-Chennai main line on Khurdha roadside and the Titlagarh-Sambalpur line at Balangir.
He will also flag off a new train on Bolangir-Bichhupali route inaugurate electrification of 813 km of Jharsuguda to Vizianagaram and Sambalpur to Angul lines, doubling of 14.273 km of Barpali to Dungaripali & 17.354 kms Bolangir to Deogaon Road lines and Bridge No. 588 between Theruvali to Singapur Road station will be done by the PM.
Renovation and restoration works at Nilamadhaba and Siddheshwar Temple in Boudh, Ranipur-Jharial group of monuments in Bolangir, Paschim-Somnath group of temples in Boudh and Asurgarh Fort in Kalahandi will also be inaugurated by Modi.
He will also inaugurate new Passport Seva Kendras in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Phulbani, Bargarh and Bolangir. This apart, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of permanent building of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sonepur.
This will be Modi’s third visit to Odisha in three weeks. The Prime Minister had visited the state on December 24 to inaugurate a new campus of IIT Aragul besides launching a slew of projects worth over Rs 14,500 crore in Bhubaneswar.
The Prime Minister also visited Baripada where
he unveiled a basket of projects worth over Rs 4,500 crore on January 5.
