Patkura Assembly poll on July 20

Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday declared the date for eections to the Patkura Assembly seat under Kendrapara Parliamentary.

The election to Patkura constituency will be held on July 20 while counting of votes will be held on July 24, said an ECI notification.

Election to the seat was earlier scheduled to be held in the fourth phase of recently concluded general polls on April 29. However, the election was postponed following the death of BJD candidate Bed Prakash Agarwalla on April 20.

Later, the ECI postponed the election due to cyclone Fani.
