Independence Day parade ground likely to change

Bhubaneswar: The venue for state-level Independence Day parade is likely to change this year as Odisha DGP RP Sharma on Saturday conducted an inspection at three alternate venues in Bhubaneswar.

Sharma along with other senior police officials visited three alternate venues for the Independence Day parade- Exhibition Ground, Janata Maidan and Kalinga Stadium.

The DGP also had a discussion with other police officials on security arrangements and traffic management in accordance with the changed location, said sources.

The state-level parade on Independence Day and Republic Day is held at Gandhi Marg here every year.
