Spat with Anubhav Mohanty: BCJD vice-president booked

Cuttack: Biju Chhatra Janata Dal’s (BCJD) vice president Manjeet Das has been booked for allegedly misbehaving with Kendrapara MP and actor Anubhav Mohanty.

The Purighat police on Tuesday registered a case against Manjeet Das for allegedly misbehaving with Anubhav Mohanty.

Basing on the complaint of personal security officer (PSO) of Mohanty, a case has been registered against Das under Sections 341, 323, 294, 307, 379 and 506 of the IPC. The PSO had on Monday filed a written complaint with the police.

In the complaint, the PSO had alleged that Manjeet Das along with some of his associates were creating ruckus in the locality.

When Anubhav intervened and wanted to solve the issue, Manjeet hurled abuses and misbehaved with him, said the complaint.

However, the BCJD vice-president denied allegations levelled by Anubhab Mohanty.

He said the allegations are baseless.

“Anubhav is just a superstar. Even though he has become an MP, he is still immature in politics and he needs a lot to learn. I won’t file any counter case against him as it will spoil the party’s image,” said Manjeet.
