Odisha CM not to celebrate birthday for cyclone Fani

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not celebrate his birthday on Wednesday in view of devastations caused by cyclone Fani that hit the state on May 3.

The Chief Minister urged party workers to work for orphan and Divyang children instead of wishing him at Naveen Niwas, the residence of Naveen Patnaik.

He also expressed his happiness for the Jeevanbindu blood donation programme scheduled to be held all over the state on his birthday.

Notably, Patnaik had also not celebrated his birthday in previous years for cyclones Phailin, Hudhud and Titli that devastated several parts of the state while affecting thousands of people.
