Naveen condoles demise of TN Seshan


Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday expressed his condolence over the demise of former election Commissioner TN Seshan.

The Chief Minister remembered his major contribution to bring electoral reforms in India.

86-year-old Seshan breathed his last at his Chennai residence on Sunday night.

“Deeply saddened by the passing away of former Chief Election Commissioner & Ramon Magsaysay awardee TN Seshan. At the helm of Election Commission of India (ECISVEEP), he stressed major electoral reforms and was well respected across party lines for his integrity & dedication towards democratic processes,” tweeted Patnaik.

Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal shared his heartfelt condolences on passing away of former Chief Election Commissioner of India T N Seshan.

“Winner of prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award, he will be remembered for his initiatives in making the electoral process transparent,” said the Governor.
