8,583 drunken drivers arrested in 3-month in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 8,583 persons have been arrested for drunken driving in the past 3 months, informed Odisha Police on Tuesday.

The arrests were made during September, October, and November.

While 2394 persons were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in September, the number was 3462 in October and 2727 in November.

The highest number of drunken drivers were arrested in Ganjam district. A total of 1799 drunken drivers were arrested in Ganjam district in three months.
