Madhu app launched for school students in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday launched the Madhu App for school students.

Named after Utkal Gaurab Madhusudan Das, the app, an e-learning mobile phone application, is developed by the Ganjam district administration for school students.

The Chief Minister said that the digital device will help in improving the standard of students.

By downloading the Madhu App in their mobiles, the students will have access to video explanation of the topics they are taught in their classroom.

The application provides video lectures and exercises in Odia language by highly qualified educationists and expert teachers.

The course has been prepared to make the videos interesting and self-explanatory using quality teaching-learning material.

Madhu app for school students also features interactive question answering session post completion of videos.

In the first phase, videos and exercises have been created for Mathematics and Science subjects of classes V to VIII.

Launching the Madhu app, the Chief Minister talked to students of 22 blocks in Ganjam district through video conferencing.

The Ganjam district administration and School and Mass Education department have developed the e-learning android mobile app for school students in accordance with the 5T initiative of the state government.

The students can download Odisha Madhu App from Google Play Store (Android), which contains video lectures and exercises in Odia language. Besides, it contains interactive question-answer sessions, e-learning exercises of mathematics and science subjects.
