Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik paid heartfelt tribute in his own style to American Basketball player Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash yesterday.

Pattnaik on Monday created 15 feet long and 8 feet height sand sculpture with a message “We will miss you”.

Patnaik also created the portrait of Kobe Bryant. He used 5 tonnes of sand and took four hours to create the sculptor.

“It is very sad news. My deepest condolence and prayer to the bereaved family,” said Patnaik.

Pattnaik, a Padma Shri awardee, has participated in more than 60 international sculpture championships around the world and won many prizes.
