Economic Survey Report pegs Odisha’s growth at 6.16% in 2019-20

Bhubaneswar: The economy of Odisha is estimated to grow at 6.16% in 2019-20 as against 7.90% in 2018-19, according to the Economic Survey Report 2019-20.

The decline is attributed due to lower agriculture production being affected by cyclone and deceleration in mining and manufacturing.

Per capita net domestic product of Odisha is estimated to grow at 6.75%. Per capita income is expected to rise from Rs 95,164 in 2018-19 to Rs 1,01587 in 2019-20, the report said.

From Rs 54,703 in 2012-13, the per capita income of Odisha is estimated to breach Rs 1 lakh mark for the first time in 2019-20.
