Bhubaneswar: As many as 55 cases have been registered for rumour mongering in Odisha till date in view of Coronavirus outbreak, said an official on Wednesday.
From 7th April morning to 8th April morning, 269 cases have been registered by the police in the state for violations of different regulations and guidelines related to COVID-19.
Out of which, 252 cases have been registered for violation of lock down, 4 cases for violation of ‘Home Quarantine’, 3 cases for rumour mongering and 10 for other issues.
As many as 300 persons have been arrested for different violations by the police.
