Two more COVID-19 deaths in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Two more COVID-19 deaths were reported in Ganjam district taking the toll to five in Odisha, informed the Health Department on Sunday.

According to the website of the Health department, the deceased have been identified as a 38-year-old man and a 45-year-old man.

Both were Surat returnees.

COVID-19 positive cases in the state rose to 828 with 91 fresh cases.

With detection of maiden case, Sambalpur district joined among the COVID-19 affected districts on Sunday.

Out of the 91 positive cases, 87 were in quarantine centres and four were locals including a Sarpanch.

With this, the number of active cases in the state rose to 627. 196 patients have recovered so far.
