Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has asked the district collectors to step up measures for 100 per cent coverage in COVID-19 vaccination of healthcare workers by February 10.
The achievement is poor in 9 districts, including Khurda and Cuttack. The coverage in Deogarh was lowest at 42 per cent, followed by Khurda at 61 per cent and Jajpur at 62 per cent.
The health department said that while the 1st dose vaccination of all healthcare workers will close on 10th February, it is of great concern that in some districts the percentage coverage of healthcare workers vaccinated in the past week is poor.
A clear message should be given that those who do not turn up for vaccination when called on the designated date will forgo the opportunity to get free vaccination from the government, the department said.
