Bhubaneswar: India successfully carried out the test firing of a new missile of the Agni series known as Agni-Prime, off the Odisha coast on Monday.
The missile was test fired at 10.55 am on Monday.
Various telemetry and radar stations positioned along the coast tracked and monitored the missile. It has followed text book trajectory, meeting all mission objectives with high level of accuracy, said DRDO sources.
Nuclear capable Agni-Prime has a strike range of 1000 km to 2000 km.
Agni-Prime is a new generation advanced variant of the Agni class of missiles.
