No more night curfew in Odisha from Feb 18


In a major relief to the business establishment in Odisha, the state government has announced the withdrawal of night curfew from all the urban areas. The new guideline will come into effect from February 18.

The decision has been taken due to a continuous decrease in the number of COVID cases is observed in the State and the number of active cases has also decreased.

The Special Relief Commissioner, in the exercise of the powers conferred under Section 24(I) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 read with Rule 8(1) of the Odisha Disaster Management Rules,2010, has lifted the night curfew from all urban areas of the State with effect from 18th February 2022.

The Odisha government had prescribed COVID guidelines/ instructions/ permissions of activities / stipulations for containment of COVID-19 till 5.00 AM of 28thFebruary, 2022 and imposed Night Curfew in all urban areas of the State from 10.00 PM to 5.00 AM every day.
