Urban polls: Colleges asked not to hold exams from March 22 to 24

Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department has asked the principals of all college and Vice-Chancellors of universities not to hold any examinations on March 22, 23 and 24 due to urban polls.

In a letter to the principals and VCs, the Higher Education Department said that it had received a letter from the State election Commission stating that college building will be utilized as the polling booths from March 22 to 24 for the ensuing urban election.

Besides, the students in urban areas are eligible to cast their votes in the upcoming elections, scheduled to be held on March 24.

Some universities and colleges have issued programme for 5th semester examinations for plus-III students, which clashes with the poll schedule.
