KALIA Yojana: Odisha Govt disburses Rs 804 cr to over 40 lakh farmers


Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik released financial assistance of Rs 804 crore under the KALIA Yojana to farmers on Tuesday.

According to information, an assistance of Rs 2,000 has been credited into the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers in the state today, on the occasion of the prominent agrarian festival marking beginning of sowing of seeds for Kharif season in the State.

“Farmers are the backbone of our economy,” the CM said during a video conference. “Our farmers have played an important role in food security not only in Odisha but across the country and have brought glory to Odisha.”

The Chief Minister thanked the farmers and brothers for this.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the new ‘Krushi Odisha’ portal for farmers. Farmers can get involved and update their data to get the services and advice they need. He also launched the ‘Go-Sugam’ portal for farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs. This is the first single Windows platform for farmers in the country.
