Sarat Patnaik appointed president of Odisha Congress

Putting an end to all speculation, the All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) has named senior party leader Sarat Patnaik as the president of Odisha unit.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi has named former Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Pattanayak for the post.

“Congress President has accepted the resignation of Niranjan Patnaik from the post of president, Odisha Congress Committee with immediate effect,” informed a press release issued by the Congress.

“ Congress president has appointed Sarat Patnaik as the president of Odisha Congress Committee with immediate effect,” informed KC Venugopal.

The AICC has also appricates the contribution of outgoing PCC president Niranjan Patnaik.
