In the latest development to the lady engineer Sweta Utkal Kumari suicide case, the physical, mental torture and blackmail angle has come to the fore after family accused a youth behind the death of woman techie.
She was found hanging from her rented house in Sailashree Vihar area of Bhubaneswar.
According to report, Sweta Utkal Kumari’s father has filed a case against one Soumyajit Mohapata.
“We lodged a complaint against Soumyajit Mohapata. He used to torture my daughter,” said deceased’s father.
Meanwhile, the cops have registered a case and started a probe.
On the other hand, Sweta’s brother has also accused Mohaptra for the death of his sister.
“My sister was deeply in love with the boy. They were in the relationship since a long period. His family members had demanded Rs 30 lakh as dowry for their marriage,” Sweta’s brother accused.
It may be noted that, Mohaptra, who originally hails from Sambalpur, has been residing in Bhubaneswar. He also works as an engineer at a firm in Bhubaneswar.
