The Odisha Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday approved the creation of Leave and Training Reserve (LTR) posts in various categories of teaching posts in government secondary schools under school and mass education department.
According to the reports, 15 per cent of the total cadre strength of 40,166 of teachers will be cared to meet requirement of teachers’ unavailability due to leave and training and medical ground.
“15 percentage of the total cadre strength of 40,166 of teachers which comes to 6025 nos. will be created to meet the requirement of teachers’ unavailability due to leave, training and on medical ground. This will address the issue of shortage of teachers in Government secondary schools,” stated a press note.
