Puri: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday led a two km long roadshow in the holy town of Puri in Odisha.
Modi, upon arriving at the Talabania helipad in Puri, commenced his visit with a special ‘darshan’ at the revered Shree Jagannath Temple. Traveling in a carcade, he paid homage to Lord Jagannath and his divine siblings, drawing inspiration from the spiritual ambiance of the temple.
Following his visit to the temple, PM Modi embarked on an impressive roadshow that began at Marchikote Chowk and extended to the Medical Square. The streets, lined with thousands of enthusiastic supporters, echoed with chants of “Modi Modi,” “Bharat Mata Ki Jay,” and “Jay Shree Ram” as the Prime Minister’s vehicle made its way through the ‘Badadanda,’ the Grand Road of Puri.
The atmosphere was electric, with admirers and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers showing their unwavering support.
In a vivid display of solidarity, more than 100 saffron-clad women BJP workers led the procession, walking ahead of PM Modi’s vehicle. Their presence added a significant touch of color and fervor to the event. Alongside them, traditional artists showcased various cultural performances, celebrating the rich heritage of Odisha.
Accompanying PM Modi during the roadshow were BJP’s Puri Lok Sabha candidate Sambit Patra and the state president, Manmohan Samal, both sharing the excitement and spirit of the moment.
After the roadshow in Puri, PM Modi continued his tour by flying to Angul, where a large public gathering awaited his address. The day’s engagements did not end there; the Prime Minister was also scheduled to speak at another public meeting later in the day at the Cuttack Bali Jatra field.
