Bhubaneswar: Continuing its excellent march as the No. 1 digital service provider in the state, Reliance Jio added over 1.8 lakh mobile and home broadband (wireline and 5G FWA) subscribers in Odisha in April 2025.
This has been revealed by the latest telecom subscription data released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), today.
As per this data, Reliance Jio added over 1.53 lakh new mobile subscribers and over 30000 new JioFiber and Jio AirFiber subscribers in Odisha in the month of April.
With this, Jio has further solidified its market leadership in Odisha with over 45 percent subscriber market share and over 1.61 crore mobile subscribers on Jio network. The total mobile subscriber base in Odisha crossed 3.5 crores, witnessing overall addition of around 1.55 lakhs new mobile subscribers in April 2025.
As per data, among other operators VI added just 6659 new mobile subscribers, followed by Airtel which added just 3839 new mobile subscribers in Odisha in the month of April, while BSNL lost 8011 mobile subscribers in the month.
Similarly, further cementing its dominance in both wireline and 5G FWA segments in Odisha, Jio added over 30000 new JioFiber and JioAirfiber subscribers in the state, as of April 30, 2025. As per the data, the total number of JioFiber subscribers in the state crossed 3 lakhs while the total number of JioAirFiber subscribers increased to over 1.67 lakhs.
Jio’s 5G FWA service JioAirFiber dominates the 5G FWA market in Odisha with over 84% subscriber market share in the state. Jio has been Odisha’s most preferred digital service provider, with over 45.9 percent mobile subscriber market share and over 84 percent 5G FWA subscriber market share in Odisha, fuelled by its extensive 4G and 5G network presence in the state.
