Mumbai: Days after actor Rajpal Yadav was trolled by a journalist during a live awards show, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has publicly come out in his support.

The controversy began when Rajpal Yadav addressed the issue of the rising dollar rate and the falling rupee during the event. His remarks were met with mockery from the show’s host, a senior journalist, and the video of the exchange quickly went viral on social media.

Responding to the incident, Salman Khan shared a strong message defending the veteran comedian. In his note, Khan highlighted Yadav’s decades-long contribution to the industry, emphasizing that his work and value have earned him consistent opportunities over the years.

The actor was previously involved in a cheque-bounce case, following which he surrendered at Tihar Jail after failing to repay his dues on time. Before his arrest, Yadav had stated that he was unable to clear the outstanding amount. Several members of the film industry later extended financial support, and he was subsequently granted bail.
