Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of BJP has chalked out the strategies for the ensuing Panchayat polls to be held in 2017.
The party on Friday held its panchayat election management committee meeting and chalked out the strategy to ensure a good performance in electoral battle.
It has decided to field candidates in all panchayat, panchayat samiti and zilla parishad seats.
Union minister Jual Oram, state president Basant Panda, former president KV Singh Deo, other senior leaders and party workers attended the meeting. During the meeting, the party listed a number of issues which it plans to raise before the public to attack the ruling BJD and opposition Congress party.
The party has decided to create awareness among people at village level about the state government’s failure in healthcare, education, electricity, law and order, connectivity, employment creation etc during the coming days, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said.
Besides, the party workers will also raise the chit fund scam, mining scam, Dana Majhi case, etc to attack the ruling party. The party will also highlight the welfare programmes of the NDA government, he said.
