Balasore: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of about 45 projects involving Rs 108 crore in Balasore district on Thursday.
He also held public meetings at Remuna and Baincha under Sadar block.During his public address, Naveen remembered the contribution of Balasore stating that the district has been rich culturally and literally.
The fighters of the district have proved their ability during the pre-independence struggle, he added.
He said the Odisha had become a happening state and the environment for investment in the state is conducive.
“I had been to Bengaluru and Mumbai and met the investors. I also met ambassadors of 28 countries in Delhi and invited them to invest in Odisha,” said the Chief Minster.
“For effective disaster management, the state has been felicitated by UN. The Balasore district, in last two year, has received about Rs 1221 crore for different projects including AMRUT scheme, medical college, roads and bridges, drinking water, irrigation and drainage,” said local MP RK Jena.
