Nayagarh viral sex video: Five including prime accused arrested

Nayagarh: Police Monday arrested five youths in the Nayagarh viral sex video case.

They were arrested on charges of making an obscene video of two college goers and uploading the same on social media.

Police also seized five mobile phones from their possession.

Nayagarh SP Asish Kumar Singh informed that the main accused, who is also seen in the video clip in a compromising position with the girl, was identified as Pabitra Kumar Nayak (22), a Plus III 2nd year student.

Other four are Lipun Nayak (19), Rabi Rout (28), Tapan Kumar Das (22) and Kalia Behera (19).

Another accused Samir Nayak was on the run after the incident.

According to sources, Pabitra was in a relationship with a Plus II first year student of the same village. The youth forced her to make physical relation with him and recorded the act in his mobile phone.

After some days, he showed the clip to his friends. Soon, they began sharing the video and uploaded it on social media sites like Whatsapp and Facebook.

Later, the family members of the girl lodged a complaint with Khandapara police on Thursday after they came to know about the Nayagarh viral sex video.
