Odia movie ‘Daalcheeni’ wins best feature film award at Shimla film festival

Bhubaneswar: Odia movie ‘Daalcheeni’ directed by Peenakee Singh and Sisir Kumar Sahu has won the best feature film award at the 7th International Film Festival of Shimla on Sunday.

While ‘Hatti’, we exist directed by Viveck Tewari (Mumbai) bagged the best film- documentary award at the international film festival, ‘Keni – The Other Kin’ directed by Sajesh Mohan (Kerala) received the best short film award.

Similarly, ‘Kandittundu’ directed by Adithi Krishnadas (Kerala) won the best animation film at the international film fest.

Produced by Ritupriya Production Daalcheeni was the only Odia movie that has been featured at the 7th International Film Festival of Shimla.

Daalcheeni features Suryamayee Mohapatra and Partha Sarathi Ray in lead roles.
