BHUBANESWAR: What could be a sensational revelation, the prime accused of Puri train arson, Ramchandran Subhas, is involved in treason and had met a Pakistani agent Riaz in Mumbai, according to the polygraph test report.
The polygraph test of Subhas, which was conducted at the State Forensic Science Lab on December 7 at Bhubaneswar, showed the native of Tamil Nadu is a trainee member of a terrorist organisation.
The report over Puri train arson was received by the GRP on Friday.
Notably, Subhas is on a six-day remand of the GRP. The police had earlier taken him on remand twice to interrogate about possible terror linkage in the incident.
He had alleged links with a similar incident in Haridwar railway station days before the Puri incident, said sources.
The sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) court of Puri on Thursday transferred the train arson case to Bhubaneswar.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has already transferred the train arson case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing into the incident.
